FLATSHOT command problem

I have drawn a 3D bolt and nut and imtrying to get a 2D representation of it using FLATSHOT however when I use the command the block it produces forit is 3 or 4 random lines that do not represent my drawing at all (See attached images).

I had a look through the forum and found a thead with a similar issue which was resolved when they switched to parallel view, but my issue is when I am already in parallel view but when I switch to perspective view the command seems to work fine.

I dont think this seems right at all, can anyone shed any light on the matter?

Images show SE Isometric with World UCS, center of top of bolt head at 0,0,0

Before you run flatshot type UCS then V for view and see if that helps.

Works fine for me. I switched the UCS to view then did flatshot. Here is a screenshot of the flatshot dialog settings I used and the result.

That looks good but it still doesn't work for me.

I've found a work around though and that is to change to perspective view, take the flatshot, insert the object into the drawing then change back to parallel view but this doesnt answer why its not working as it should. Could it be something to do with some setting in my options?

Thanks.

Playing around with the view, I think it's because it is not taking a flatshot of the angle of the object I am seeing on the viewport but like you have already mentioned changing UCS to view should resolve this.

Any other ideas why it is not?
