Bing Maps not working

Is anyone else having problems with the online maps not working?

I have the hotfix, and the coordinate system working and I have the box checked to use online maps. I did notice the other day that the Bing Maps website has been changed, so maybe they changed something that affects how Autodesk interfaces?

Never realized how much I use this feature until it doesn't work.

Hi,

...tried it now, using AutoCAD 2016 SP1, no problems.

What product/version/servicepack are you working with?

Have you tried a restart of your workstation?

I am using Civil 2015, service pack 1. I have done all the usual things like restarting my box, signing out of 360 and back in, forgetting my location and resetting the CS. Another tech in the office has had the same thing happen to him. The online mapping stopped working for both of us. I am wondering if bing changed some server side protocols again.

send me a drawing (can be without geometry) just to see if I open your drawing if the connection to BingMaps works on my system.

Hi,

not problem, works as expected which means from my point of view:

Autodesk's service is not broken
BingMaps is not broken.

It will be worth to check:

your network or workstation security (proxy, firewall, any internet-security too)
your account at Autodesk

By any chance if you have a laptop, connect it via phone to network (so you are using a different internet access) and see if you get the maps then loaded.

Found the issue... something happened to the loginxml file. Even though it said I was logged into 360, apparently I was not and it was locked out.

went here: C:\Users\{yourWINLogin}\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Web Services\ and changed the LoginState.xml to LoginState.bak. Restarted Civil 3D and logged in to 360 and whala!! Everything is back to normal. Must have been an autodesk gremlin messing with me again.

Yes, my Bing maps comes up, click on directions, put in my address, address I want to go to, push go and the blue dots just keep moving into eternity.

I am using chrome for internet and always have. Windows 10.

We have Autocad MAP 2019 and on one computer Bing MAPs are not working. We tried everything, installed hotfix, logged on A360 etc. and nothing. It just does not load Bing MAPs. Also, we tried this with xml file, and had no success.

That computer has Autocad MAP 2019 together with Infrastructure Standard option installed, because we had that for a couple of years. Another same machine has the same installation, and it works there.

What else is left to try?

Since A360 is not around anymore, make sure you have the autodesk Desktop App installed to replace that

Thank you very much for your time regarding our problem.

It does not work again, although we installed desktop app.

Enclosed are images: desktop app, what is in Autocad folder, and how it looks when we want to load Bing maps.

Is reinstallation only solution?

Can you please

try to connect and display aereal images from BingMaps in a new dwg-file?
let us know which command you used to display the image(s)
upload your dwg-file that does not work with BingMaps connection

_geomap is the command, then I tried geomap without underscore, and it
asked me Road, Hybrid etc. but it did not load Bing Map.

The current position/zoom window is outside of a valid area for your coordinate system ...

Try my attached drawing, open it and wait a few seconds, do you get the aerial image displayed now?
If not, do you get any messages?
