Hi,

you can have running tools which add them, or there are xrefs with these regapps(dependen on your XREFREGAPPCTL setting)

Delete all the regapps in a drawing> close the drawing> regapps that I deleted need to be deleted again.

Explanation as to what going on?

This happens with most of my drawings. Some have many regapps that "reload" after closing (say 97 in one drawing) and some have few (say 5 in one drawing).

That being said a lot of the regapps that i delete do disappear once I reopen the drawings.

Do xrefs have anything to do with this? From consultants?

Thanks!

AWESOME! (for lack of a better word).....

Fixed it. Never heard of that command.

When I looked it up also led me to a help file called "Optimizing drawing files in AutoCAD with Purge, Audit & Recover". There are some nice tidbits in there on cleaning up files in general and anyone who works with these things should take a look. Haven't digested it all yet but I have a feeling it's going to be helpful towards some of my performance issues.

Makes me want to think about setting up somehow to run a lisp routine.... and get back into that after about 15 years of bailing on it. Can see some definite possibilities for utilizing to clean up files that I inherit.

As always, thanks!
