&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;try to run &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;_OFFSET&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; in smaller steps and you'll see where the problem starts:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This screenshot was done with a polyline I created by command &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;_BOUNDARY&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; from your geometry (green poly) ... and then run &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;_OFFSET&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; twice with a distance of 2.0&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If you set &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;OFFSETGAPTYPE&lt;/FONT&gt; &lt;/STRONG&gt;to &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;1&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; (default it's 0) then you have the chance to run offset multiple times with a smaller distance so you get an offset of 9.0, but the algorythm used for &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;_OFFSET&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; is different&lt;/P&gt;
