2017 - layer list width

On AutoCAD 2002 toolbar, the width of layer dropdown box and list, was very small.

A workaround was to add to the install folder, where the acad.exe was located, a file called acad.exe.manifest.

After that, when clicking on the layer dropdown box the list width enlarged and the layer names were displayed complete, not truncated.

Is this anything I can do to increase the width of layer list on 2017 (using Classic workspace)?

Good morning w64bit,

Since a Classic workspace is not an integral part of AutoCAD 2017, it is a bit difficult to know what you have set up for your installation. In standard workspaces, the layer dialog allows the various fields to be toggled on/off and also the fields can be stretched or reduced in length. One of the new features in 2017 is that many of the dialog windows now offer stretching capability.

Why don't you attach a screenshot of what you have set up in your environment and I can try to assist.

Interesting, I've never heard of the manifest trick for toolbar width....

I use QuikPik for this.
