Lines Appearing while zooming that are not actually in the drawing

My computer is fairly recent and is in no way out of date in regards to my hardware. Why are all these strange lines shooting out of no where every time I zoom in and out or move to a different area of my drawing?

This looks like it is probably an issue with Line Smoothing - Smooth Line Display. Try toggling off the setting to see if it helps. Please post your results so other forum users might benefit.

What version of AutoCAD are you running?

Have you applied all service packs?

I would try adjusting the line smoothing and or Hardware Acceleration.

Turning Linesmoothing off did not resolve the issue, and hardware acceleration is already enabled

It looks like a graphic card issue. If the problem persists after you turned off the line smoothing, turn off the hardware acceleration.
