ABORTED-ERROR 8

Hi all,

In March was published the version of AutoCAD 2017, I downloaded it with no problems 30-day trial both on a computer at work with windows 7 and external "Symantec cloud", it worked, the same trial worked in my home computer with windows 10 and no external anti virus software.
i didn't disabled my firewall and anti-virus programs, all downlodes worked fine.

Now, a month later, I try to download the version of AutoCAD Mechanical 2017 on the same computers, but i can't, an error message appears "aborted error 8" , I tried to download it on both computers but the massage error apears. it apears on every Autocad software i try to download for trial, what was wrong??

Please Help.

I tried to disable my firewall and the antivirus , but nothing.

I tried the Autodesk "virtual agent" , but the 2017 trials are missing.

Just to make sure: I know error 8 only in the case you are installing from internet directly, not when you first download the setup content and then install from your local (downloaded) files. So are you now "installing from internet" or "downloading from internet"?

Do you have a license bought? In that case you should be able to login to your Autodesk account and from there you have the option to "Browser Download" the softare you bought and run then the installer from your local system.

Hi Alfred,

1.See attached printscreen , i just followed AUTODESK instructions (succseded just a month before).

2.I don't have a license bought.

sorry, I don't find the 2017 release in Autodesk Virtual Agent, hopefully someone from Autodesk reads this thread here and can forward this info to the people having control over Virtual Agent.

I tried to download from Autodesk trials Site, Autocad trial the file was extracted , Autocad Mechanical trial the file was "Aborted error 8".

Feeling hopeless....

Thank you, succeeded with 2 self extract files .(Still i don't understand why the official trail link don't work).
