I have been having a play around with a particulary large file that I was having trouble with and in the process appear to have made a change that is affecting all files. I am using AutoCAD 2016. The only hatches that are visible in the drawing are the solid hatches. Others appear to be still there as when I use QSELECT I can select them however cant see them. This also happens with any new hatch I draw, only solid ones will work. This is for any drawing that I open. I have found the acad.pat file for 2016 and there haven't been any changes to this file since 2014. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

One thing I have done to my file was use the command below from the LandFX add on (see link below) but I can't see how this action would affect all files....

https://www.landfx.com/index.php/docs/admin/drawing-setup/item/1377-nuke-tool.html

The problem is with any drawing I open now in AutoCAD and any new or template file. This happens with any existing hatch and also any new hatch I do. There is nothing visible at any scale unless it is hatched as a solid....I did try your suggestion below just in case but it hasn't worked....I also regularly purge my files and this hasn't helped either. I have hatched a closed polyline with the AR-CONC hatch at scale 5. Nothing can be seen when I do this but I can select it using the QSELECT command. The properties of this hatch are as shown in the attached screen shot......

I have had more of a play around and it appears there is a problem causing problems with the hatch scales...... I have MEASURMENT set to 1. I can view the AR-CONC hatches if I use QSELECT to select the layer and then change properties to give a background colour. Playing around with a small scale such as 0.0090 shows a solid hatch in the hatch colour (when normally I would set AR-CONC to scale 5) so something makes me think there is a setting I have changed that is causing the scales to be very out....

Found my own solution for anyone that might have this problem in the future.... I had rpreviously reset HPMAXLINES system variable to 100. Restoring it back to the default of 1000,000 has resolved the issue.
