To The Group or Community,

Just wondering if there has been a change or settings update to using “Typed Commands or Keyboard Aliases”?

The reason I ask is that lately whenever I go to input a command via the keyboard (yes, I know its old fashion),

there is either a major hesitation (this glitch has been around for sometime), or the command jumps to something else on the “suggestion list”.

Example, I’ll type “Sph” (to enable, or input the “SPHERE” command) and some “other” command will take over like stretch, or Scale etc., etc., etc.,… instead.

This “issue” for me has been consistent since Acad2014 and is still present on my Acad2017

I’m looking to see if there is a setting for input speed, or time or perhaps a system variable (Setvar) that needs to be set, or changed.

As usual, any information or help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Yes, input seearch options allows you to change how that works. It is available by clicking on the wrench icon on the command line window. I wouldn't turn it off as it is very handy. Find a setting that is comfortable for you.

To All, Thanks again for your help and information. So far I've had to go and adjust a few of the setting (refer to attachments). I guess this is going to be one of those things I need to experiment with so my data or command inputs remain consistent. Anyway, thanks again,

I started seeing this with the installation of C3D 2016 recently. I type most commands with 2 or 3 letter aliases, mostly using the left hand, and right clicking the mouse button to enter. It is very quick, but this new situation slows me down. Changing the input search delay value to the minimum helped some, but it's still an annoyance. The input box next to the crosshairs is redundant to me and just makes things more clumsy.

Nothing wrong with starting your own thread rather than digging up an old one.

There are a number of settings that can help you. To turn off the command line at the cross hairs, turn off dynamic input. There are a few other settings having to do with input search that you can play with that might help.
