Several commands deactivated

Hello,

A few commands got deactivated this morning in my Autocad 2021.

1) Background mask stopped working with MText, when I select a MText and go to the properties window it does not allow me to click YES.

2) I cannot select an object and then call an edition command, ex. to erase an object I need to activate the Erase command first and then select the object.

3) When I select an object, the layer roll-down does not show on which layer is this object.

Can anyone help me with these issues.

One of them is PICKFIRST variable.

Restart and verify you have the latest updates.

Check to see if PICKFIRST is set to 1

Because of your 'roll down' hint,

I guess your pickfirst is set to 1, but your QAFLAGS bit1 is set.

Check this setting, default is value 0

FYI, regardless of my QAFLAGS setting if PICKFIRST is not set to 1 both the layer roll down & object selections will fail.

Your palette&ribbon pull downs need pickfirst on?

So i remember wrong in that case (AFK)
