Sharepoint integration

Does anyone know if there are any plans to integrate Microsoft Sharepoint into the AutoCAD desktop app, i.e. being able to browse to files, stored on Sharepoint, directly?

That link is a pretty concise description of the current situation, but I just wondered if there were any plans to change that.

I am assuming you are looking to open files via a local Autodesk Client. What our office does, and this is not show in the linked document is to use the create a shortcut on one-drive that all SharePoint directories have. This way the folder you file is in on SharePoint appears in Windows file explorer and can be directly opened via an Autodesk products. The only drawback is that if multiple users have the same file opened SharePoint creates unique copies of the file and is not able to merge them back together. This is not too big a deal for my company so the solution works well.

Thanks for the response. Linking to OneDrive was one of the first things I considered, as it seemed the simplest solution, but our ICT team warned against it, as our team is quite big and we are dealing with thousands of files and folders. Plus, as you mention, there's no protection against people opening the same files at the same time.
