Maybe try extruding the each surface to solids and use the Boolean (Union, Subtract & Intersect) tools to create the overall object.

Hi everyone,

I am having problems to convert my 3d model from surface to solid. It keeps telling me no watertight volume detected. The point is that I've joined all my surfaces together and now is just 1 surface element apparently closed. I've tried scaling up the model and surfsculp (as I was onced told and worked) but it does not work in this case.

Any other options that I may try?

I attach the model in case someone manage to work it out.

Thank you

One of the things I do when I'm having a not watertight problem with surfsculpt is to create subobjects to try and located the problem area. For example, for your part I subtracted a box from the mesh and then used surfsculpt successively on the remains from the Boolean subtract. The box was exploded so that I could use of its sides to help define a closed surface. The red object is a solid.

The next step is to work with part of the mesh that was not included in the successful Boolean subtract further isolating the problem area.

Attached my attempt to create the model as solid from scratch - of course based on the dimension of your face model. Some of your mesh faces I simplified as planar surfaces, because their dimensions in relative Z direction are extremely small. I hope the differences from the original model are aceptable.

HTH
