I am not sure what else to do. I tried all that was suggested and the results are the same.

For example: When I draw 5 separate lines overlapping each other, the line i've drawn first is always up front in the draw order the second line is behind the first line, etc...This is the first time i've came across this. It's always been. the latest line (object) i've drawn, it would be to the front of the draw order. Even after saving and closing the drawing, the draw order of the object result the same.

Are any of your drawing doing this??

Hello,

I'm using AutoCAD 2017 out of the box and it's been 6+ years sense I've came across this situation and I cannot think of a solution.

For years now, after every new line or block inserted into the drawing is set to front in the draw order. Now,After drawing an object or inserting a block, the last thing I draw is always behind the previous object(s). Sometimes after I regen a line may or may not be brought to front. I've used the DRAWORDERCTL command and is set to 3. Was there another variable that I cannot think of?

Does REGEN or REGENALL fix your display problem by chance?
You also need to actively use DRAWORDER command to fix other items.

And I'm not sure if you did it as a test but you have wring-layer lines drawn over objects meant to be on separate layers and I'm not sure why you are drawing a stove and cabinet backsplash on the int-wall layer.Fix your drafting technique and everything else should fall back into place.

Don't use 'draworder" to hide bad drafting.

As a test, set SORTENTS TO 127. Some of the bitcodes no longer do anything but 127 will still get you there.

Thank you for your advice. REGENALL helps a lot, but there are some instances where a line i draw is underneith an existing block or object. most of the time regenall work but sometimes it doesn't.

i.g. I have a few blocks that has a wipeout behind all the objects, but when I insert the block the wipeout is toward the front of its draw order.

And to your reply about the layering *sigh* ... Well, Im a new hire and it's a lot worse within their drawings. Most object are on a single layer and the color and linetypes are only changed.

So far using the command CDORDER and randomly selecting any object and clicking OK, seems to resolve the issue. Afterwords, all new objects or lines are brought to the front of the draw order of the drawing.
