Unable to load toolbar in AutoCAD

I am unable to load the osnap tool bar (I am using Autocad architecture). I receive an error message : toolbar not found.

Hi and welcome to AutoDesk Forum,

in usual AutoCAD we do the follow and it's work,try it in your case and see.

Command: -TOOLBAR
Enter toolbar name or [ALL]: "object snap"

Enter an option [Show/Hide/Left/Right/Top/Bottom/Float] <Show>: s

Try the -TOOLBAR command for the DRAW toolbar. Show that toolbar. Once displayed, right click on that toolbar and choose OBJECT SNAP. Then close the draw toolbar.

Hi @Anonymous

Just to be sure - there is an underscore between object and snap and no quotes object_snap

If that didn't work, you may need to reset Autocad..

I followed your instructions completely! Unfortunately I am not a computer person and am not sure how to reset Autocad. I included the screen shots in a previous post showing the Autocad setup on the hard drive but could not see anything that says reset

Hi @Anonymous,

Before resetting let's try a couple of things:

1- I don't know if you know that shift+ right click shows a snap menu when ever you're asked for points..

2- Have you tried @Anonymous suggestion - post5?

3- You may also want to try this:

-toolbars > all > show

and close what you don't want and leave only object snap..

4- If none of that worked:

A- Backup your Workspace:

- Click on icon like a gear in the bottom right corner of the screen, and "Save current as" a new work space, and name it "My_WS" for example..

- Click on the same icon and make the new workspace current..

- Click on the same icon and choose settings..

- Make the new created work space your default (my workspace= My_WS), and check "Automatically save workspace changes"

B- Add toolbars to your new work space:

- In the command line, enter CUI

- In the left top tree you'll see the work spaces including the new one (My_WS), select it..

- The contents of this work space will appear in the top right area, and it's properties in the bottom right..

- In the contents area you'll see a node called tool bars, with nothing inside (or without the object snap toolbar)

- There is another node called toolbars under the workspaces, expand it and drag the Object Snap tool bar from there to tho node in top right

(Dont click on the tool bar and stop, drag it immediately - to not show it's own properties instead of the Workspace in the top right)

- Ok - the toolbar should appear..

If none of the above worked, go to the start menu > > progams > Autocad (or autodesk) folder> reset setting to defaults.. --- then try again all the previous steps (-toobars ....)

Thank you for the detailed instructions. However, when I get to the point of opening the toolbar node under the workspaces and I expand it , the only option that comes up is array edit.

I did try the option suggested by @jherbst and it did not work

Hy @Anonymous,

If possible - can you put a print screens of:

1- What you see after selecting the workspace?

2- What you see after expanding the node of the toolbars node?

that would help to understand where the problem lies..
