Thanks. Yeah, I do need some commands more complex than line, but the screenshot definitely helped.

I have been using AutoCAD 2016, and I have a mouse that has 11 buttons (Logitech G502). If I could easily assign some of these buttons to say the line tool or copy, I could vastly improve my work flow and work much more quickly. How would I go about assigning commands to the various buttons? Is there an easy way, or would I have to make the mouse buttons into macros in my mouse software, like assigning the forward button to "^C^C_STRETCH"? What would be the best way to go about this?

If your mouse driver has macro like the Intellimouse, you can assign a letter to each button and reassign command letter in acad.pgp

From my experience is best to assign some keyboard shortcuts (e.g. CTRL+I...). That's most reliable.
First you need to go to _CUI and assign those to commands you want to use, then go to Gaming Software..... you'll find it.

Your mouse driver controls what those buttons do: you in turn code in AutoCAD what those functions the mouse driver assigns to each of those buttons.

Alright, I'll try that once the Logitech customization software finishes installing.

I haven't used the CUI much. How would I assign a shortcut, say, CTRL+L, to line? I have the mouse side now, but I need to figure out how to assign the shortcut.

Ok, see my previous post, I attached a screenshot.

But... I'm using more complicated commands than line.... Since LINE has simple alias "L", then, forget about CUI, and assign keyboard sequence L; in Gaming Software directly.... as Patchy suggested.
