I cannot draw a line vertically?

I am unable to draw a line vertically.

Which one of these setting at the bottom will change this?

Normally, by "vertically" one might mean either upward on the page, or upward in the Z direction, which in plan view would up off the page. In the image, upward on-screen and upward in the Z direction would be the same, because you're apparently in the WCS but in front view, with Z pointing upward on the screen, which means you're drawing in the plane that you're looking at edge-wise.

If you don't have OSNAPZ turned on [which will restrict drawing to the Z=0 plane], you can draw a vertical Line in that view by giving it "@0,0,YourZcoordinate" for the second point.

Or, you can change the UCS to match the current View, and [being careful about where the current plane is in relation to the WCS -- it might also require a UCS Origin setting] then draw normally.

You're looking a the FRONT of your model: so "vertical" means you want to go in the Z direction (your cursor is only moving in the plan x and Y directions, neither is vertical). Is that your intention?

I have the same problem, I want to draw a straight line in the z direction but it is not possible. I'm viewing my model from "Left".

Even without changing the UCS, you should still be able to do this, just not with the cursor. If you're still in the WCS but viewing from some other-than-plan-view direction [or even if you are in plan view], to draw a vertical-into-Z Line 123 drawing units upward from the starting point:

LINE

[give it a start point, then type in:]

@0,0,123

@x,y,z is how we would all o that all the time: have you had a chance to use that yet?

Thank you, this works, but will it affect anything else, must i undo this when I want to draw a line in another direction?

Do you mean to include the @? Otherwise it will draw a line to point 0,0,123 near origo.

When drawing a line I'm not able to choose "relative" as when you for example move an object.

Yes. If you have dynamic input on in a new-enough version of AutoCAD, it's not necessary, but still works; if you have that off or are in an old-enough version, it is needed.

If drawing in different direction other than X, Y, then input the X,Y,Z values instead - as suggested by others.
