I cannot get the command window to resize by dragging the window resizing icon - it doesn't show up and the command window is way too large, taking up screen real estate, so that my drafting area is only about half of the screen. HELP!

nancyuen

All of the text and buttons are either too big or too small. The text in properties and the command bar are about twice the size of what they should be, while the pick box, AutoCAD "A" button and some of the other buttons are about half the size of what they should be. I have a high resolution screen; the display is set to change the size of text, apps, and other items to 200% by default. I tried setting it to 100%, but that just made everything smaller, and some of the buttons so small, they're basically dots. I tried messing with my computer's display settings and AutoCAD's display options to no avail.

I have AutoCAD 2017 (student version)
My computer is an HP Spectre X360 with 13 inch screen
My OS is Windows 10
My resolution is 1440 x 2560

If you need any other specs or screenshots, let me know. Any answers are appreciated.

AutoAd through version2017 is only designed to run on mintors set to HD display settings, 1920x1080, with 100% text scaling..

2560x1440 is higher. Change it.

Thank you for your response. It worked after restarting, but at the expense of my high resolution, which is exactly why I bought this laptop, so for now, I'd rather suffer the bizarre font sizes. I found this a little late, but here's a link from Autodesk Knowledge Network explaining this exact problem.

I also tried just changing the text scaling to 100% and then restarting, which worked, but made everything too small to read. It seems that AutoCAD can handle any resolution, just not text scaling, which I need to be able to read anything on my screen at full resolution.

Hopefully, Autodesk will fix this problem in the next version, but if anyone knows of any add-on or upgrade that will allow AutoCAD 2017 to work with text-scaling, please let me know.
