Greetings,

Sometimes it is easier to select too many items and deselect one or three via holding down the shift to deselect.

My issue is sometimes i am able to deselect as many items i wish to in one click and others i must deselect each item individually.

Is there a setting/process how to deselect all you chose with one click or is this a glitch?....as I've had it both ways, with it out my control.

"sometimes" has no fix: is there something else at play perhaps? Like you are using a Window instead of a Crossing Window and not catching all you want to deselect?

Could you clarify the difference between a window and a crossing window? thanks

I've added a screen shot of my selected items and of the window I am deselecting with shift command.

>>>... difference between a window and a crossing window...<<<
Watrch the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXAwSA9glbk

Looking at your 3D view, what exactly are you trying to deslect? Your Crossing Window method seems to be selecting everything you've already selected.

that was just a representation of selected items and my selection window........... there were more selected items out of view.

per your video I have been selecting with the proper Implied & Crossing windows. (knew their function....never knew their proper names)

Which brings me back to my original post (sometimes all items will be de-selected with the shift command and others they have to be selected one at a time.
