Hi,

>> offset all the vertical edges

Can you please tell us which edges you mean?

The wording "vertical edges" for me means all edges parallel to Z axis ... and that are only 4 as far as I can see in the screenshot. For these 4 edges I would use command _XEDGES (>>>details<<<) to get lines from the edges and then offset these lines.

I would like to offset all the vertical edges a sixteenth, but keep the horizontal top and bottom faces as they are. What is the quickest way to select all these perimeter faces to offset this shape?

Hi,

>> select all these edges

Just to make sure, you really mean "edges", not face or surface? In case of edges: what will you do with that amount of lines? What is the next job with them

In case you want to offset the side (surface like selected in your screenshot) I would use command _XEDGES, then _PEDIT and _JOIN to create a polyline from the lines and arcs created by _XEDGES, then _OFFSET the polyline and _EXTRUDE the polyline. If the polyline is not closed the result will be a surface (without top and botton faces like a 3D-Solid)

You might also convert the solid to surface and then use command _SURFOBJECT of offset a surface, but that needs a few more complex steps 😉

Hold the shift button down and select the faces that are facing towards you and then, without releasing the shift key, press down on the mouse scroll wheel to rotate the object such that the far side faces face you and then continue selecting faces with the select key still depressed.

~Lee
