Hello,

Simply draw the circle in a space away from the part, presspull to the length you require, copy and position at each location the pins, then subtract all the pins you just created by using subtract command. You will select the part you are keeping, and select enter, then the parts you wish to remove, press enter again, and presto, you have your pocket holes.

Hi There,

Screencast below..

I am trying to create a hole in a solid that does not go all the way though, ie the part is 22mm thick and I want an 18mm hole in the object.

Firstly I drew the shape of the object, and then the holes in 2d lines, and then extruded to 22mm.

I have successfully used presspull to create a number of recesses, so then I moved onto the holes.

I selected presspull, selected inside the circle, moved the extrusion upwards so I could see it, then entered -18 and hit enter.

This worked perfectly, just like the previous recesses I created.

However, I cannot repeat this on any of the other circles no matter what I try.

Either the circle disappears for some reason or nothing changes.

Was it wrong to create the holes whilst still in 2d?

I have no idea why this worked the first time and now I cannot replicate it.

Thanks, Shane.
