AutoCAD 2013 specific color doesn't plot

I hope I can explain my issue correctly....

I use the color magenta for different specific layers, set to print black. It doesn't seem to matter which layer I use it for but it never plots. For instance, I have an elevation layer that uses magenta, a plan layer -- it doesn't plot out if the layer is assigned the color magenta. If I change the color of that specific layer to anything else, yes it will plot. If I set up a new layer and assign magenta to it, it will not print. Magenta is the only color I have an issue with; every single other color works correctly.

I have checked up and down, the plot settings for those layers are set to print, I've checked everything I can think of.

Any ideas? One layer I use it for is rather vital.

Maybe using ETRANSMIT make a zip file and attach (only the part that has magenta layers or lines needed) someone will get it fixed for you.

Color 6 "magenta" does not print to what device or using what driver?
Does it also not print if you plot to the DWG TO PDF driver? Even if you set the Plot Style Selection to NONE?
Or is that layer set to NOPLOT? Of did you draw everything in "megenta" on layer DEFPOINTS?

You're not explaining it well, you left out a lot of possiblities.

Or Shut down and reboot the PC, sometimes it helps.

Color 6 magenta does not plot to any device using any driver. It doesn't print to my printer at home, a regular HP inkjet printer, and it does not plot to the HP DesignJet plotter at work, nor the Xerox copier. It does not plot when I do DWG to PDF either. The lines I've drawn using magenta, regardless of what layer it is on, do not show when I plot something, they are completely missing as if I hadn't drawn them at all.

I haven't changed the plot style selection to "none" as I don't use that; I use a custom plot style setup that incorporates magenta as a specific line weight.

All the layers I use magenta for are set to plot as I mentioned; the light bulb is on, the asterisk is not shaded, it shows as plotting in the layer manager. I don't use DEFPOINTS for anything.

Don't care what you do normally, this is a test. Choose NONE and try it. Find out, testing means doing something different.

Your next step is to post the DWG file along with your plot style table so we can take you out of the testing phase if you are not able to follow simple test instructions.

Any readers here can try to fix it, that's the reason I suggested posting a .dwg only with a magenta line and your plot style table using ETRANSMIT command.

Goodness me, no need to get snippy. You did not say test this theory, you asked if I had tried it previously which I had not as I have no use for "none." Please don't respond if you are going to be difficult. I have plenty of other things to do than deal with angry internet people insinuating I'm an idiot. Thanks.

Use SAVEAS command to create a sample file: delete client info from the file he PURGE it. Now use eTransmit command on this new file.

You eTransmit to a ZIP file on your PC, then come to this website and post that as a file attachment.

Off topic slightly: how long have you actually used AutoCAD for? I'm thinking we all need to simplify our answers for you moving forward if you're very new.
