topic draw points in AutoCAD Forum

When using the Draw Points/ divide feature. The points that are laid out on the line are not recognized by the Object Snap function. It is like they are not regular lines. Is there a way to get them to be recognized by the OSNAP?

Welcome to these Forums!

That's because they're not, in fact, Lines -- a Point is a different entity type altogether. The NODE Osnap mode [or just the 3-letter abbreviation NOD if you want to save a keystroke] will snap to them. If you are seeing them as more than tiny dots because of a PDMODE setting, and they look like crosses or X's or little circles or some combination, Node Osnap will snap to the Point [tiny dot] location itself, not to what look like lines and/or circles making up the on-screen appearance of them.

If you wish to control the size of them use PDSIZE.

Good Luck
