insert border

I'm using AutoCAD 2015 and when I try to insert my custom border to a drawing, it just duplicate the previous layout tab. What am I doing wrong? I went through all the procedures as far as right click on the tab and followed to proceed but it duplicates the layout and not bring in my border at all. Please help!!

Not sure what you mean by 'duplicates layout tab'. Are you deleting the layout tab, or are you trying to create a new layout tab?

When I try to insert my custom border by right clicking on the layout tab. I can select my border from the dialog box but when the tab is created, it's a duplicated of the same layout and not my border.

What are you selecting below, after right clicking?

Have you tried 'From Template'?

Yes I select from "Template" but the border doesn't show...

Yes I select from "Template" but the border doesn't show and what does is the layout that's already there. It'll say in the tab " Layout2-Layout1"

That option would create a new layout tab from the template.

Have you confirmed that the template (DWT) you are selecting has a title block on the LAYOUT tab?

As previously stated, the procedure you are using is to create a new layout tab. That's why you are getting an additional one.

I believe want you want to do is insert it as a block. Type "I", browse to your file, and check options before inserting.

No, scales in Paperspace are 1:1. You adjust the scale of the 'viewport' to fit the objects within modelspace.

If it is drawn correctly and you assign the appropriate scale, it should come in correctly but you won't know until you try it.
