Hi, thanks for the response.

Circle smoothness has been increased to 10,000 and the drawing has been regenerated (as well as views updated) but unfortunately it hasn't hasn't had the desired effect.

It seems strange that some details are more effected than others.

Cheers

I've pulled in a base view from model space into my layout - but when I use that view as a parent for a detail, it does not fill it's circular border correctly (both on screen and printing). Instead the outer edges of the detail seem to have a polygon type shape to them.

This is my first time posting here so if anyone has any suggestions or could point me in the right direction I'd be most grateful.

Cheers

Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

Does the same happen when you print? Is it just an issue on display or also on the plotter?

Can you please show the drawing?

On one side we can then try with your objects, on the other side the screenshot is a bit too small to see the details.

Please let us know your version of AutoCAD and service pack too.

>> As requested, please see the screenshot below for context

Please, check it by yourselves: go to the forum, open the thread, look to the picture/screenshot and think about you don't know exactly the issue ... do you see any details in your screenshot?

I don't ... and that's one reason why I asked for the drawing, not the screenshot. The other reason is that we can try with your geometry to get it solved (if we see the problem on our systems, if not we know that we use different versions or service packs, also that could be a valid answer).

Hi,

>> Unfortunately my office has very strict policies on DWGs leaving the local network

If you create 2 or 3 objects in a new drawing (based on an AutoCAD template, so no title blocks or any other company internal information is included), you can upload it I guess without any restrictions ... well, as long as you can reproduce the issue.

What I also saw for shaded details was to raise the resolution of the shading.

Have you tried that?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting. As @Alfred.NESWADBA suggested, you may need to increase the resolution of the views to achieve a smoother shaded fill.

To add to this, you need to adjust this setting before generating the view - it cannot be set after the fact.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the DPI setting is already at the maximum 300.

I will speak with my manager about uploading a new DWG, chances are he'll probably want to do it himself though to make sure all the binded Xrefs have the cost attributes stripped - so I may have to wait for him to do that.

Cheers
