All workstations are currently running AutoCAD 2017. A few stations are running LT but wouldn't think that would influence it.

Everyone builds their own palettes to accommodate their own work flow needs.

We utilize the 360 Cloud to push our block library to everyone. A little background on our firm - we are a Event Production company. Most of the designers/draftsman, myself included, travel quite a bit and need access to the content remotely as well as offline. Blocks are referencing the 360 cloud folder that is created on each individual machine. In essence, everyone is creating their tool palettes from a block library that lives on their local machine.

Hey folks,

We're experiencing some strange on our end and we're having some difficulty troubleshooting the issue. Perhaps some of you are experiencing the same thing.

Whenever we bring in a block that has layer info attached to it the layers are set to do not plot. I've checked all the source files that our palettes are linked to and all the layers are set to the way they should be.

Everyone in our office is current on software release and updates. The only thing that I can think of that might cause an issue is that some of us travel frequently so we reference a duplicate copy of the block library that lives on the 360 cloud, but that is unlikely.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Anonymous,

I am guessing that you migrated your tool palettes from an earlier version of AutoCAD into AutoCAD 2017. This was a defect that was corrected in Update 1. You might try migrating the palettes again with a workstation that has been updated with this to see if that corrects the problem

We've re-built our palettes from scratch when we were experiencing this before. That seemed to be the fix but now its coming up again. Because we are referencing the cloud folders on our individual workstations there is no import/export palette process across all workstations.

Hi @Anonymous,

So I can better research this issue, you are on which AutoCAD version? 2017?

The palettes you are currently using were built from scratch with your current version of AutoCAD?

Do the palettes reside on each local machine or are they on a network share? Can you share the ATC files?

HI @Anonymous,

This is an interesting issue. I have seen in the past where users have had to recreate the palettes due to the blocks not being readily available. This is described in this article.

I have not seen blocks shared via A360. I wonder if there is a permissions issue or if the problem arises due to some latency or lack of availability.

A test that I can think of is to grab the complete library from the cloud and store it locally in a folder that is part of the file support path. Then recreate a palette (a sample that is large enough to test). If this works properly, perhaps sharing the palettes as well as the library is an option. Or, perhaps just synchronizing the blocks from time to time but relying only on the locally stored blocks for the palette construction.
