The video is good for understanding types of fixtures in model space, but it has nothing to do with viewports or paper space.

To set the lighting in your viewports:

First, switch to 3D Modeling workspace

Next, go into your layout and double-click inside the viewport where you wish to adjust lighting

Select the Visualize tab on the ribbon

From there, you can add a (specific type of) light, adjust shadows, change the sun status, etc...

Try adjusting exposure, color temperature, date, and time of day, in the sun settings

Copy those settings into your template file and save - make a dwt backup copy first!

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

Is there a way to set lighting, sun and render settings for an entire file? When I set them in model space, when I create a paper space layout with viewports, every viewport must have it's render settings, lighting and sun done as there is all reverts to default.

I'm trying to set up a drawing template that will have lighting conditions and render settings preset to what we want them to be and visible in every viewport, even new ones.

Let me know if this is possible.

Thanks.
