I have been creating a clean updated template as our company evolves. I have text styles popping up that i can't delete. I have checked the blocks. Only thing I can think of is they are somehow in the styles (which i have gone through one by one.) This template is clean with the exception of text styles, the (standard) Dimension Stlye, and the (standard) MLeader style. Which says it's in use when I'm not sure how it could be. Any ideas?

Everything I generally want is Aerial and any thing with JRE in front of it.

Thanks,

Joe

The standard styles cannot be deleted. AutoCAD won't allow it.

The best way I've found to track down extraneous styles is to start from scratch (a blank template) and insert the blocks one at a time and check the styles after each. It shouldn't take much more than a few minutes to find the offending block(s). Afterwards edit the blocks, purge them, and re-insert everything you need into another blank template.

See your file, purged as much as it can be purged.

Start a blank drawing using the default ACAD.DWT, Create your desired text styles, and ONLY those, and save the file as a DWS.

Then you can use the Drawing Standards tool to convert all the funky names and styles to your preferred format/style. Fix your normal DWT template, and any other files that need it. Be aware that appearances and characters may change if the font in the preferred style is different from the older style.

Hi @Anonymous, To find where these text styles are being used I suggest that you look at your table styles, dimstyles, leader and mleader styles.
