Hi,

welcome @Anonymous.autodesk.com!

There are 2 common issues for copy and paste

The units ... when the units in the source drawing and destination drawing are different, then a scaling can happen, which results in very small or very big pasted content, too small to see the items or too big to see the items without zoom-extents

blocks are copied ... and the names of the blocks exist already in the destination drawing. So if the block definitions are already defined in the destination drawing they may differ from the definitions in the source drawing. And in that case the result can look different compared to the geometry in the source drawing.

You always have the chance to use _WBLOCK to create a new drawing from the items you want to copy. Then use command _INSERT in the drawing you want to paste the geometry to ... this gives you (while dragging for insertion point) a better feeling about the position and content you are working with.

Hi,

I have problems with copy (ctr + C) and paste (Crt + V) between different drawings. It does not display any error, but the item copied does not appear at the second drawing. I have tried with blocks and with individual lines, and any of them appeard. I can copy and paste to a new white template but I cannot paste to an existing drawing.

It has happened to me several times with different drawings, and I cannot find the solution.

Thanks.

would you try to copybase by Ctrl+Sift+c and pasteblock by Ctrl+Shift+v.and make sure that your copied items are in turned ON layers.

Are the source and destination files generated in house or are you copying from files obtained from outside sources?

If the latter is the case, could you describe the drawing environment, i.e. your AutoCAD version and the source of the files?
