You can send your colleagues an invitation to view your DWG through A360. Its pretty simple and all they need is a browser to view it.

So I've been working on a 3D model in ACAD 2016 and wish to print it to PDF (as my colleagues cant open DWG). In my viewport I got several Layers turned off and the Shade plot is set to Realistic. But whenever i generate a PDF, anything that is a 3D Object, doesnt get converted into the PDF.

Printing on a printer does show the object, so its just related to getting it to PDF.

Hi,

which driver do you set as active in the PLOT-dialog? I would suggest to use "DWG to PDF.pc3" (and please don't use one that was a result of migration from a prev. AutoCAD release).

When you select the viewport on the layout, what is the setting for "Shade Plot"?

Also verify that you have installed the latest service pack for your AutoCAD.

By any chance ... can you upload the drawing + the PDF you get as result? So we can test it on our workstations.

Thanks for replying.

@Alfred.NESWADBA

I just installed the most recent Service Pack and it seems to have done the trick.

Sadly the PDF that comes out takes forever to load.

As a temporary workaround I've used the Legacy Hidden Shade Plot.

@TheCADnoob

Is it possible to lock other layouts or models from the viewer with that program? so they can only open that one layout?
