Hello all:

My question is rather trivial in the grand scheme of things - however I would appreciate any help despite it being small-fry.

I am following a toy-car tutorial on Youtube and when they extrude a particular object it creates a tunnel shape as you pull it forward - naturally as that's what the extrude tool does - but the important thing is that in the tutorial there are (not including the top and bottom lines of the tunnel) 4 inner horizontal lines on each side of the shape 8 in total, sandwiched between the top and bottom lines as the object is stretched - but when I do it I only have 2 inner horizontal lines 4 in total - some may say it doesn't matter which is what I thought - but in order to draw the toy-car correctly I need to follow the tutorial to the letter as I found out further into the tutorial.

So basically is there a variable I need to type in to increase the number of lines created when I use the Extrude tool?.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards.

Cad-learner

Thank you for your swift response. The query in question is 1min 58sconds in to the tutorial. You'll see the horizontal lines created along the sides from the extrusion number 4 (not including the top and bottom outside lines) - I can only get 2.

Thank you.

Cad-learner

Hi,

I suggest to change the value from ISOLINES command.this system variable specifies the number of contour lines displayed on the curved surfaces of 3D solids.

I forget to mention that if there is an already existing shapes and you change isolines value you have to make Regen command to can see the new result.
