Piling rig in AUTOTRACK

Does anyone know where I can find a similar vehicle within the Auto-Track library that resembles a piling rig?

I've attached some jpegs of the vehicle I require.

I have never built the graphics for a vehicle but we could perhaps try together. What kind of views are you going to need? just the plan or the elevation also?

You might check the Autodesk App Store to see if there are any vehicles that fit the bill. I found this one but I am not sure if that matches yours or not.

If all you need is the plan outline I suggest that creating one by copying something similar in the library might be the easiest way to proceed.

Hi John

its a simple plan view exercise of tracking a piling rig into a access path. I defiantly agree with you that the best way of building one is to take an existing vehicle on the library and adjusting the dims to suit what I need. I just cant seem to find anything on the system that resembles the caterpillar tracks that I need as that would give me a decent start when it comes its turning mobility.

Hi @yousefshiebani,

If it is plan view only then it shouldn't be too tricky if we can get some more information on turning radius. Creating an overhang on the ends should be easy and I am guessing (yes I have not tried this before) we can set the wheelbase to something minute that will help reflect the turning radius. Do you have any more specs to work from?

I totally agree with what you've said. I've attached a PDF with the information on the vehicle. It dosent really give anything in terms of turning radius. On Monday morning I will try and contact them directly to see if I can gain any more technical information on the manoeuvre of the vehicle itself.
