Help with how to create shape

I can’t figure out how to get the splines or poly lines or what ever they are for the star looking thing.

A circle is 360°
Divide by 5
Each line is at an angle of 72°
Just rotate the line 5x for 72° around the midpoint of the circle

There's also autocad commands like arraypath to automate this depending on the amount of divisions you need

Not sure what the question is, but there's a command called polygon that will create, well, a polygon.

Among other thing, this drawing is meant to teach you how to use commands like ARRAY (Polar), Circle (TTR - Tan Tan Radius) [when drawing the Red circles], and TRIM.

You can use DIVIDE to place 5 equally-spaced Point objects around the Circle, and then draw the pentagon using NODE Object Snap to the Points.

But I agree, POLYGON will do it directly, asking for 5 sides. If the Circle is already drawn, Osnap to its Center for the center of the pentagon, choose the Inscribed option, and Osnap to the top QUAdrant point of the Circle. But you don't need the Circle as a middleman if that's what it is -- if you know its radius, you can use that to place a circumscribing point relative to the center.

Trying to make the star shape in the second picture. I can’t figure out how to get 2 different radius in the same line and the form the curvy line all together.

Circles, trim, fillet

Then JOIN the arcs for a continuous shape.
