Draw radius in between inclined line and a vertical line.

In the drawing I have , I need to draw the following :

The distance of radius to the top should be 4.8350. I use the below approach i.e. draw the horizontal line at 3.2mm and the vertical at 4.8350 . When I draw a radius at this point of 2, the distance decreases to 4.1630. However, I need to maintain the distance of 4.8350 only. What approach should i follow ?

Fillet command use 2.0 for Radius, then draw a line from center of the radius to any distance you need MINUS the radius then draw the horizontal line?

Hi,

if your upper horizontal line and the diagonal one are fixed;there is no way to get what you want.

I want the below drawing :

The dimension i am getting as .4549. I need it as .4975. I draw the depth as .4975, however as soon as I do the fillet of radius 0.2 downward and 0.3 upward , it reduces 0.4549. I have to maintain it as 0.4975 after fillet. Please help.

Welcome to these Forums!

What elements of your image are critical, other than the 0.4975 overall height, if any? To do what you want will, for example, require the angle of the longer line parts to be steeper, and/or the 3.1955 spacing to be longer, meaning that Fillet is not going to get you what you want by itself. If the angle and the spacing need to be what they are, I don't think what you want is possible. But also explain something else -- the vertical line in your original image doesn't appear to be there between the arcs in the later image.

EDIT: Come to think of it, there can't be any vertical line between the arcs, because if there is, with a 0.2 radius arc below and a 0.3 radius arc above, the overall height would have to be greater than 0.4975. It might be achievable with some short angled line, but again, certain other adjustments would have to be made.
