Plotting to PDF error - random sections of image / large vertical black stripe

Please can someone offer a solution on the following issue?

I use AutoCAD LT 2009 to upload survey data in the form of bitmap images to georeferenced mapping. I attach them as a Raster Image Reference as I have done for years.

I then plot this via an A3 template which is inserted into the layouts tab, then use the plot to Adobe PDF function, which gives me a great quality A3 PDF of the data and mapping.

However lately, the odd PDF has been plotting the images with random chunks of that image next to the image itself, or a big black vertical stripe across the PDF.

I switched from plotting JPEG images to Bitmap a month ago as this solved the problem, but seemingly temporarily as it is now acting up again.

Using the PDFCreator plotting function and the DWG to PDF plotter also causes the same problems.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you 🙂

Does detaching reattaching the images fix the problem?

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately detaching then reattaching raster image reference doesn't work and the same chunk of data is being plotted randomly

Hi,

I'm just curious, if you've had success making similar prints in the past, have you tried opening one of those older dwgs and seeing if the problem is now happening with them?

If the older files still work, have you changed the source of the raster images recently, or changed what app you are using to save the jpg/bmp before image referencing it into the dwg?

If the older files don't work now, have you recently installed updates for AutoCAD LT 2009?

Hi,

I had this issue some time ago as well, even not an image attached, just an A4 size with a simple rendered object.

What helped me was to reduce the resolution within the "DWG to PDF-pc3".

Hi @Anonymous,

Did you try @Alfred.NESWADBA's suggestion of reducing the resolution settings in the PDF driver?

Can you attach a sample drawing(s) that have this problem? I would like to see if it is something I can duplicate on my computer.
