Dear folks,

I have a drawing with an Xref. The Xref contains a lot of text with a certain text-style 'A'. I wanne change the style in the drawing with a style 'B' but without changing it in the original Xref. When i open the Xref in-place i can change the style from A to B but when I close and save the Xref in-place it doesn't show style B in the drawing. When i open the Xref in-place again, it has style B.

What am i doing wrong? Or how can I change the text-style from an Xref in a drawing without changing the Xref its original style?

I have no permission from my employer to upload the file so I explained as clear as possible.

What you are doing will change the XREF file. You said that you did not want to do that. I would save a copy of the original and make any necessary changes to a separate XREF file.

Did you reload the XREF after saving?

Reloaded it, didn't work. Even when I detached it and attached it again it showed the same style A but when opening it shows style B.

While there are overrides for display of layers, there are no over rides for textstyles. Your best bet will be to follow RodDraw's advice -- and save the original file, and modify the copy to use as your reference file.
