As a new to this forum, please help me to resolve this issue.

I need your help to make as built with Title block in Layout.

I plotted As built in Model as some part of the drawing so when I create PDF for as built, expect only as built area should be comes as layout.

But I used to make a PDF of as built as draw a Title block in model then click plot & select around the Title block border but when I submit DWG as built, It shows with Title block in model. This is not professional way.

So please help me create as professional layout only part of drawing

Thank you

as suggested you should use a layout with a view port to show different parts of your model. Here is a great post about viewports : http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?72972-Things-you-should-know-about-Viewports

If you are needing to move elements between layouts and model space you can use CHSPACE. so if you created your title block in model space and need to move it to a layout use the CHSPACE command.

Thanks for your reply

I saw already view port in layout but that is covered all the drawing area. I need only part of the drawing
So what can I do?

Thanks

In layout doubleclick inside viewport and use scales to show what you want. Or simply zoom (scroll) if scale factor is not important.

When you added your viewport it will show your whole model space by default. After making a layout with viewport select the viewport and go into the property's (right click> property's), here you can set the scale of the viewport.

I recommend always plotting your layout space in 1:1 scale (in the plotter settings) and do any scaling of the actual drawing, 1:100 in example with the property's of your viewport.

In the property's of the viewport there is standard scale for picking a scale with predefined scales in that drawing. Custom scale if you want to use a scale that is not predefined. But the best habit would be to adjust the Annotative scale this will update both of the other scales but also sets your viewport ready for using annotative text and measurement.

Hope this helps you

Here is a screen cast of me playing with layouts and viewports.

To activate the viewport you can double click in it as suggest or type .mspace or .pspace to switch back and forth.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

The first thing I suggest is to move the titleblock to Paperspace using the CHSPACE command. Then create a Page setup to define your paper size - I guessed that you wanted an A4 Size.

Next, using MVIEW, create a polygonal viewport.

Lastly zoom in model space to show only the area you desire.

I have attached my version of your file so you can take a look.
