How to get details under Publish / Plot Details

when I receive a notification that my publish job fails, I open the publish / plot details.

Unfortunately the window is empty with no description for the reason of the failure.

Is the a setting that I need to change in order for this function to work?

Is it possible that the View field is set incorrectly in the Plot and Publish Details window?

Hi,

look to the _OPTIONS ==> tab Files and find the item for the plot-log, then

make sure the folder exists
make sure you can add, modify and delete files in that folder.

this is the current path location ... do I need to create a new folder and is there a best location for it?

If you are logged in as "Jim" then the path should be ok, if it exists on your system can only be verified by yourself.

If you can create files in that path, modify them and delete them has to be verified by yourself.

Also look to how many files are in that folder, should not be too many.

Hi @jim3thornton,

If this still isn't behaving, you can change the path to something like c:\PLTTMP. Just create the folder and then change the path in AutoCAD. Let's see if that works.

I have relocated the file location, but the Plot and Publish Details window is still empty.

There are excel files populating the new folder.

No change yet

Hi @jim3thornton,

I would try a Repair then from the Windows Control panel and possibly a Reset Settings to Default as well.

Please let me know if these are options.

I also discovered this suggestion:

Exit AutoCAD and then delete C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20xx\Rxx.x\enu\PlotandPublishLog.CSV
