Hi John thanks for this - as it turns out this is probably the best option. I suppose we could also create a block that would be exploded upon insertion from the tool palette.

Andrew

Hi there,

I have a property label that has the following 3 lines of text:

1. Owner

2. Address

3. ID Number

Any ideas on how to create an annotative block such that each line is annotative at different scales?

For example...

1:1000 - display just the owner

1:500 scale - display owner and address

1:250 scale - display owner, address and id number

I've tried attributes with different scales but not successfully.

Thanks!

Andrew

Hi,

since you know the text scale for each text line there is no need for making Annotative block.

>> I've tried attributes with different scales but not successfully. <<

would you show us please?

Thanks for the response - so what you are suggesting is have 3 separate text entities, each annotative at different scales, that are copied to each property and updated. This would be possible but better I believe if we could insert a block (from a tool palette, for example) with attributes - or perhaps an alternative method altogether.

Andrew

Hi @apweng,

Since annotative blocks can't use Styles that are annotative, this can be tricky at best. Have you explored the idea of creating three pieces of ANNOTATIVE text set to different scales and then using Group instead of a block?
