      <description>The drawing is not read only. Probably you have to look at that on your PC.&lt;BR /&gt;To change the units, simply type Units.&lt;BR /&gt;Maybe you have to scale the drawing to make the size correct.</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;read only files usually caused by a lot of reason:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000000"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;if CAD file used and opened from another user.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;delete any .dwl files existing in the same folder relate to your CAD file WHEN it's closed and there is nobody open it.&lt;/LI&gt;

&lt;P&gt;To change the file properties, rt-click on the file in Windows Explorer and select Properties. You should be able to Un-check the Read-only attribute.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;For units, you can use -dwgunits to change the units and scale of the objects in your file. Or, as&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/977323"&gt;@Rob67ert&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;suggests you can use the Units command as well.&lt;/P&gt;
