Construction determinations are controlled by the MSTA conversion settings, it's an issue on their end, they need to check their conversion mapping.

Opening dwg file in Microstation some CAD objects get element attribute "Construction". That should be "Primary".
Construction element are not viewed as they are supposed too.
They are just drawing aid. Is there a way to control object transmission so they receive correct attribute in Microstation?

I haven't had this problem myself. Is there an AutoCAD file you can share that does this? Please also let me know which AutoCAD version you are using as well as which version you have of Microstation.

I opened the DWG in V8i Microstation and everything looks fine! Did you export to DGN or just hand over the DWG file for the Microstation user?

I will research a bit internally to see if I can find prior issues with this. If I can find more info I will post back.

No, I did not convert to DGN, I just delivered the DWG! The model is going to be used in a larger BIM model. The even had problem with the grid and the background color! So I have to check with them on monday! But is that possible to switch between Element Attribute Classes Construction and Primary afterward ?Thanks for your help!

Hi @Anonymous,

I suggest you check with Bentley regarding the import on the Microstation side. Since you gave them a plain AutoCAD file, and AutoCAD does not have this type of drawing hierarchy, then "errors" are occurring on the import side.
