Open File Dialog Box not working.

For a few weeks now I have been unable to select any files when searching for drawings.

Control O generates the Select File dialog.

Then I click Tools and Find...

Then I type a part drawing number and Find now button.

A list of drawings show up but I cannot click on any of them.

I am using Autocad 2017 product version N.52.0.0 on Windows 7 Professional SPK1 and Nvidia Quadro M4000 with apparently the latest drivers.

This used to work fine but stopped working a few weeks ago.

Any help would be much appreciated.

N.52 means no service pack installed, start with that.

Thanks for tip.

I upgraded to SP1 and it didn't solve the problem.

I was unaware of SP1 which was issued in January. Is there a way to have notification of service packs?

Thanks for the tips. The problem is not related to these variables. The dialog box appears and navigates but I cannot select the file from the generated file list.

The problem doesn't occur in other programs, just Autocad.

Yes, Autodesk Desktop App (if not uninstalled) does notify you.

Back to your issue, if you have not done any customization's you might try to reset the AutoCAD profile to default, as described >>>here<<<.

And the files that are greyed out ... do you have full permissions to these files?

Have you tried to run a search in a new local folder with just one new file in it?

I reset the profile to default and it solved the problem. Thank you for your help, much appreciated 🙂
