Poly Lines Plotting differently to each other.

All of the polylines should have the same global width, should all be the same line as they were created with offset. They do show as the same on Autocad, But when I plot to PDF or even preview the plot some of the lines plot thicker than the rest of them.

I've tried Object Lineweights and Scale Lineweights on and off,

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Zoom more in or out,

change the viewer or just a setting (test it),

print to paper will show you: All right, it is a PDFviewer "issue" only.

Zooming doesn't make any difference, and I have tired Adobe and Chrome to view the PDF and its the same, and always the same lines that are wrong. I'll try printing a physical copy when I can but I don't have access to a printer atm.

If you share two or three things, we all can take a look..

Your PDF, the the associated source DWG with this layout current and the pagesetup should set as you used for this pdf plot.

Select all your polylines and make sure their Properties for "Lineweight" is ByLayer, and "Global width" is 1 - instead of "Varies".

You haven't responded to that yet, so I ask you:
Should we now ask every little thing possible and guide you, or do you still share your PDF and your DWG?
(In the DWG you can delete everything except these polylines)

While we wait for you to provide a DWG and PDF, try these troubleshooting guide (see link below):

Lineweights plot thicker or lighter than expected in AutoCAD
Also try a different PDF viewer

And if I may ask, why are these different

Sorry I was getting clearance from higher up. And as I suspected due to GDPR I cant send what I'm working on but I've just done a blank drawing and done the same thing, Draw PLine, offset several times and plot and that gives the same results.

here is your problem (or was that just an accident on your part)

Your content is too small for the PDF format. Is your PDF recipient really and truly going to zoom in that close?

Did you lose track of your scale? your DWG in in inches, your viewport is set to 1:100, your items measure this much

Your 1:100 definition might be incorrect, seems off. Where did you get it from?

as Pendean said, change the printer/resolution

And re-think your visual check:

Your offset between the lines (on paper/pdf) is less than 0,3Millimeter, the width subtracted ~0.17 Millimeter!

That's far away from a useable practise (on paper).

Hmmm ok that seemed to be the problem, is there any way of fixing it in the larger drawings?

? You picture and pdf looks well

Your both .pdf are print to A0,

and the object size "on Paper" on 'drawing-layoutwindow is bigger than the first -there is no problem!?

(If you printed the objects smaller the problem would reappear)

Paper more large and/or objects (on "paper") more smaller => you need more resolution

Yeah but as said the PDF and DWG are just what I can send due to GDPR. I cant plot the proper drawings on a different scale because they are an overview for routing cables.

I don't like to say "No", but read this again:

1. Paper more large => you need more resolution (if you have trouble with them)

2. objects (on "paper") more smaller => you need more resolution (if you have trouble with them)

and I pointed to the setting of .pc3 files (you can create your own).

What I guess, without knowing your original file,

your papersize is the same as in your sample: 841x1189

and the viewport scale is also the same (factor 0.01)

and as shown above, the resolution of the standard .pc3 "AutoCAD PDF (high quality)" is enough..

and if not, set up your own .pc3 with a higher resolution.

Fix what please? You fixed the viewport scale, so that would be the "fix" then (aka you might have to start new viewports or new layouts)

Changing the printer/plotter setting from DWG to PDF.pc3 to AutoCAD PDF (High Quality Print).pc3

I guess it was a plotting resolution issue.
