&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; can't trim with the edge of the face&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080"&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; the TRIM command says "not a valid edge"&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;That's a statement, not a question, isn't it?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The command tells you, that it can't work with edges of a 3D-Face.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you need a edge at that position draw a line along the 3D-Face border and use the line as cutting edge.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I want to draw on a flat face. i put the UCS on the face's surface, drew a line and can't trim with the edge of the face, the TRIM command says "not a valid edge"&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
