Hi

Does anybody have some user based scenarios to test performance between a desktop pc running AutoCAD and a virtual desktop running AutoCAD?

We would like to test/compere the performance of AutoCAD and Revit running

HI @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I found this article on TechRepublic that lists five tools for benchmarking that might be helpful.

Otherwise, if you want to use only AutoCAD and Revit, I would suggest that you start with your largest and most complex projects in each and then run them through their paces. I would focus on graphics performance and printing as well as increase the frequency of autosave intervals to test IO.

Hi John

I was hoping for some tasks/routines that we could do in AutoCAD as I myself am not an AutoCAD expert. I have managed to get a consultant from CADPRO to join me for the testing session.

This is the closest thing I have found to what I was looking for.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/sites/default/files/AutoCAD-2016%20v%202011%20Study.pdf

Thanks

Andre

This link seems to have a variety of benchmarking tests that might prove to be useful.
