Image Frame Issues

I have an image of the company logo XREF'd into our titleblocks. I have the IMAGEFRAME setting set to "2" in all my template drawings. The frame of the image still plots a lot, even if the IMAGEFRAME setting is set to "2" still. What normally fixes it is changing the setting to "1" and then changing back to "2". Is there anything I should try so I don't have to constantly check if it plotted on my sheets? Thanks.

Make sure you’ve installed the latest AutoCAD updates for your version. Enter About command do a screenshot and share that here

Does Imageframe = 0 work? I use that setting with no issues.

@paullimapa , when I run the about command, it says I have product version T.53.0.0 AutoCAD 2023

T181 is the latest so you should sign in to your account and update

@paullimapa , now I have version U.152.0.0 AutoCAD 2024 so I will see if this fixes it.

Edit: it didn't, I found a drawing of mine that has the IMAGEFRAME set to 2 already and the frame is still plotting

Now what if you change imageframe to 0 and plot just to make sure the frame doesn’t show up. Then change it back to 2 and plot again to see if it stops showing the frame then.

I just tried that on a drawing. I opened the drawing and IMAGEFRAME was set to 2. I then tried changing it to 0 and it still plotted. Then I changed it back to 2 and it still plotted.

With imageframe set to 0 it should not plot...something is definitely wrong here.

Hi,

is it really a rasterimage object? not OLE

what file format?

- and another image for a test, same issue?

- if the image is attached directly into the file, same issue?

- is it the same in layout AND model tab?

For usual (another dwg and another image) it works well?

Without your cad-data (dwg&imagefile) we can guess a lot.

For example:

It isn't the image frame, it is part of the image

It isn't the image frame, it is an OLE the the oleframe

it is a problem with the backgroundtransparency property with this imagereference

and more

When you set imageframe = 0 can you see the frame disappear on screen? If not it might be part of the image, not the frame. You should be able to see the frame toggle on and off as you change that variable.

Sorry for the slow response, I had to wait until I found another file with the issue. This file I had the IMAGEFRAME set to 2 but it still plotted. The logo in the top right corner is what I am having issues with.

@cadffm, this file was using my old setup where the logo is a PDF. On all my new projects, the logo is a jpg. I also have an etransmit attached that shows my new setup with the jpg.

Set FRAME system variable to 2 and call it a day

I ended up resolving this just by resizing the image to fit perfectly in the titleblock were I need it so it doesn't matter if the frame is showing or not any more. It is not a real solution, but for my purposes, it is good enough.
