Hi guys,

I'm writing here comming from a dillema.
I drew out a floorplan in autoCAD and different lines had different lineweights, but when I printed them out, the lines that were apart from each other for 4cm in real life and on the paper in 1:200 scale, it came out as one line and not two seperate when printed. Even when you view the pdf file after plotting it on acrobat the lines are appart when zoomed in but that isn't seen on the printed version.
I plotted it to pdf with ''as displayed'' and ''maximum quality'' settings and changed the dpi to 720dpi.

Could this be a printer issue or a software issue, + do you guys have any recommendations when it comes to this.

With kindes regards,
AF

Are you using any lWIGHT or PLOT STYLE TABLE settings to control the quality of the lines?
Are you plotting to a scale in PDF that is large enough to show 4cm apart lines as two and not one?

Can you show us your PDF and at least a portion of your DWG file too?

Hi,

which lineweight did you use for that 2 parallel lines. This is important because 4cm reality distance plotted in a scale of 1:200 means the plotted distance is 0.2mm, so every lineweight >= 0.2mm means you can't see a gap between that two lines.

>> changed the dpi to 720dpi.

Change it to 2400 dpi or more, otherwise a lineweight of 0.1mm or 0.2mm can't be represented exactly enough.
