Hello-

I have the same problem with my tables. I double-click to edit a cell, type my text, and click off to do a zoom extents, but the page is zoomed out as the defpoints grid layer is way off the paper. It is still connected to the table, as I can select it and move the table. It refreshes itself and reattaches if I double-click in the cell at the right time, or more reliable is moving the table down a row and back up to its original location. I have 64-bit Windows 10 Pro with AutoCAD 2018.1.2. Any help would be appreciated.

Table Grid Problem

Periodically the gray grid (defpoints) for tables in my files will become offset from where they should be. Meaning the cell contents will be in the correct place but the grid lines will be in an entirely different place in the drawing.

Sometimes if you double click in a cell; the grid will correct its placement.

Sometimes you can copy the table to the clipboard, delete the bad table and a new good table will paste correctly.

The problem really throws you off when you zoom extents and it zooms way out to the grid lines.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

Is there a solution?

Thanks,

John

HI @Anonymous,

I am sorry that you are seeing this problem. Has this always happened or has it just started?

Please tell me your OS and your exact version of AutoCAD 2014 (type ABOUT at the command line). Please tell me also, what graphics card is installed. I suspect that turning off hardware acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG might help with this issue.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.
