plot plan

Hi i got a plot plan the i want to redraw in AutoCad, but something looks off with the bearings. I know bearing usually looks like this S30D57'08"E but the bearings on the plan looks like this N19d36'47" there is not direction at the end of it. :unsure:

Post the DWG file, point to the item in question so we can easily find it.

There are a variety of Unit formats that can be used to input data into your drawing:

Decimal Degrees
Deg/Min/Sec
Grads
Radians
Surveyor's Units

If you can attach a scan or PDF of the plot plan I am happy to take a look and see which of these it might be utilizing.

It's azimuth, measure clockwise from assumed North (North is zero degree)

How would i type those coordinates into the command line?

If the azimuth is more than 180 degrees subtract 180 and label the bearing NE or SW (same thing)

Hi @Anonymous,

Have you been able to work with the Azimuth in the plot plan? I found a couple apps to convert to Bearing if you are more comfortable working that way. I like the one I grabbed form my iPhone in the Apple Store and I see some in GooglePlay as well. This might make it faster than doing the conversion manually.

Hi @Anonymous,

There are quite a few but it looks like "Bearing and Azimuths" might be a good start - check either store or search the web as there might also be some online converters available.

I apologize for the late response. I am looking at the JPG that you attached but it is so difficult to read that I am not sure which area you are referring to. Is it possible to attach a cleaner copy of the site and also include the drawing you have started?

Here is my drawing that I started but again, it is hard for me to see the numbers on the jpg so I didn't take this too far.

I have included a snippet that shows the command line input to create the geometry.
