topic Hatch selection in AutoCAD Forum

Hi. Im using AutoCAD LT 2016. I select a hatch and then pick or select areas/object. Once entered and I wish to repeat that hatch style the tab comes back to the default style, not the one I previously selected. Can I change a setting so I dont have to keep resetting the hatch for every selection?

Hi @Anonymous

Has this ever happened to you? Or from a moment you began to notice that change?

What I would recommend is that you restart the default values of the program and so you can verify that it is not a system variable that is affecting you,

Before resetting you can make a copy of the configuration, so if you do not see any improvements you can re-import your previous configuration,

I attached the link for you to review the information,

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-import-and-export-backup-settings-to-and-from-AutoCAD.html

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-reset-AutoCAD-to-defaults.html

Let me know if you could solve your problem,

I remain attentive to any other doubts,

If my publication solved your concern Accept the SOLUTION

Oswaldo Caballero

Instructor ATC

Autodesk AutoCAD Certified User

>> Once entered and I wish to repeat that hatch style the tab comes back to the default style, <<

does your previous preparation for hatch finished successfully and you see your selected hatch? make sure that happened.

>> Can I change a setting so I dont have to keep resetting the hatch for every selection? <<

you can get your previous hatch settings by using ADDSELECTED command.

Regards,
