Dear Member,

In 2D drawing we easily explode a object by using explode command. What is the command to do same thing for 3D object.

In attachment figure I need to change a line type from solid to hidden ( those front /top /side view, I got it from automatically from 3D view and using view port)

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Thank you

Sayem

I don't think there is a different method of exploding 2D and 3D. As far as I know command explode do the same thing in 2D and 3D.

The only difference I see for instance you have to explode multiple times the 3D drawing.

Hi,

using _EXPLODE to repair something or get something done is really not the first choice as you destroy an object and so you can't edit this any more.

>> In attachment figure I need to change a line type from solid to hidden

Please look to the _VIEWBASE command (and the commands based on that). There you don't even need to change anything like make a line hidden or so .. this command does the representation as needed.

Look >>>here<<< for more info about model documentation in AutoCAD.
